A 3 piece serving dish consisting of an aluminum base and lid with knob and a divided Pyrex casserole. The set was made by Buenilum, a maker of aluminum serving pieces from 1933 to 1969.

The Pyrex dish will hold about 2-3 cups in each side. It looks unused. It is marked Trade Mark Pyrex 595 made in USA. It is 10 inches in diameter and there is space between the bottom of the dish and the aluminum for hot water.

The aluminum server has beaded edge at the rim and around the base. The lid has a walnut knob which will not get hot. The base is 11 inches in diameter and from base to top of knob is about 8 inches. The knob can be unscrewed for shipping and storage. The condition of the aluminum is near fine. It has only the most minor of handling and shelf scuffing.

This is a piece that will display well if you are a collector of mid century kitchen/serving wares.

I will send this with the knob removed unless you request otherwise. Please do so at the time you checkout. This is a heavy piece due to the Pyrex liner. Shipping is based on coast to coast and may be reduced if you live somewhere inbetween.

Buenilum is the trademark of Frederic Buehner-Warner and the logo is a turreted tower with B. on one side and W. on the other. Buenilum is below the tower with a stylized open tulip beneath all.

Buenilum was registered as a trademark in 1933. The company was sold to Pfalzgraff in 1969. Buenilum stopped being produced in 1979. This piece I believe is from the mid 1950s.
