This is a truly wonderful cotton tablecloth that has survived generations in incredible condition. It is 42 x 76 inches.
The color is a pink with salmon tones, gray and burgundy on white. It also has a band of very pale yellow running through the white. Do not be misled when you first look at this in person as I was. It is not a faint stain.
I believe this is German based on the weave of the fabric and my best estimate to age is 1930s, possibly 1940s. The design and pattern is more 30s. The fabric has a soft spun texture.
The condition is superior. No spots, stains or holes. I do think the tablecloth has been cut down from a longer tablecloth or re-hemmed. The machine missed the turned up fabric in places. A very easy thing to fix or ignore. No one checks out hems anyway unless they are on mini-skirts.
